La Reseña 2009

I have been selected to be part of the exhibition which opens on August 6 in Casa de la Cultura, Monterrey, México.

i am slow slow slow

i don't know why i didn't post here the one night exhibition that i was part of a Puerta Cerrada last month. just swamped with other things on my mind i guess. photos from that night can be found on my website. here is a sample from my work which was an installation called Dejame que te hable también con tu silencio (a line quoted from a Pablo Neruda poem).

reading

this wonderful book. it makes me dizzy almost when i read it, its like being inside a

maelstrom. The book is אישה בורחת מבשורה which would be translated literally - a Woman Running Away from News, written by David Grossman, i think the translation to English would be: Till the End of the Land (couldn't find the book in Amazon to put a link - probably the book hasn't been translated yet).

norway

finally sent my things to norway!! so proud of me, even if i am the only one knowing this, it has been so hard lately and i am managing slowly slowly.
also, i am working on the piece for the exhibition in munich (which will open in november). exciting things are happening.
and since not much celebration is going on here lately, i will get a nice chocolate chip cookie to eat and listen to this:

today i am going to start working on a new site specific installation, very exciting.

and good news! the weather forecast for this week is only up to 36 degrees max.! we won't get to 40's!
